Kimmy vs Love Story Part 2

Love Story~ 2

Perce has helped Hayley overcome a few obstacles that were in between the both of them. It was tough but she did it with his help and finally won over it. Soon, they've grown even closer and Hayley saw the side of Perce, she has very rarely seen. The mushy side. She loved him no doubt.

On the day of the Olympics in 2008, Hayley had no idea what she was in for. At 8.00 pm Perce texted her asking, "Can I call you in 8 minutes time?" Hayley said yes and wondered what was up with Perce. 8 was such a random number. She had forgotten all about the Beijing Olympics that was about to start at 8.08 pm. After 8 minutes, her phone rang and she picked it up. It was Perce. He started by asking her, "Will you be my other half?" Hayley covered her mouth and smiled. She then answered yes and realised that he called at exactly 8.08 on 08.08.08 and he was her lucky number 8. That was the start of their relationship.

A few weeks later, Hayley decided to get rid of everything she has kept for the past few years, which she thought was valuable. She knew soon after, those was just pieces of junk she had to let go of. That morning Perce picked her up and they set out to the beach where he helped her burn all the hurt, treachery and pain that has been taunting her. He even risked getting his palm cut after breaking the ceramic jewellery box, burned after lighting up the fire in the barbeque pit, and dirtied from the stains from the wire gauze n oily metal skewers in the pit. They burnt all the pictures and hand written notes. Hayley stood there watching on as the flames licked the papers. Perce held her and kissed her forehead. She looked back and him and smiled, as they walked off leaving all that's left of the debris in the pit.

Very soon, Perce got accepted into a university in another city about 12 hours drive from where Hayley was. She was happy for him, even if it meant only seeing him a few weeks after every 3 or 4 months. She knows she loves him and he loves her just as much. They have their ways of seeing each other, thanks to the modern technologies of today and the genius who invented the webcam and videocall. They called each other almost every night. He told her how it was in the dorm room and she listened to him complain about how hot it was living with only a fan, his game-addicted room mate and his constant Coco-krunch breakfast. Whenever Hayley would look bored on the cam, Perce would come up with his silly puppet plays with the big dinosaur head to entertain her and she'd feel a lot less bored with him around virtually.

It was Hayley's birthday, without Perce around, she'd already figured nothing much was going to happen. To add up more, it turned out to be the longest day in school as she had to stay until 5 pm. At least she got Perce's text message at exactly midnight wishing her a Happy Birthday and at the same time reminding her that he loves her. That was enough to last her the whole day.

2 days later, Hayley's dad was driving her home from school when suddenly he told her. "There's something waiting for you at home" She looked at him and asked, "What is it?" He turned his gaze back on the road, smiling. "You'll see. It's from someone." Hayley thought that someone might be her cousin who was living in a nearby country, so she didn't think much about it. As she got home, she saw a pink parcel on the table. There was a card stuck in front of it and it read, "Happy 18th Birthday" behind it said.."Sorry for the bad wrapping, rate this assignment.. /10"
She hurriedly ran back to her room and opened the card, inside it was written

Dear Hayley,

Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
Miss You So Much...

Love,
Perce.

Hayley teared a little. She then proceeded in unwrapping the present, careful not to tear it even a bit. Inside, there was a pink Roxy handbag. She ran her hand through the inside of the bag gently and felt something within the inner pocket. She unzipped the zipper and found 2 bookmarks. One of a dolphin and one of a cat. Perce knew Hayley loves reading, but she didn't think all the little details of her even mattered. She called him on her cellphone and when he picked up, she squealed loudly and was saying some stuffs incoherently, then she calmed down and kept asking question while he kept laughing on the other end and asked, "Like it?" Hayley then answered, "Like it? I Love it!!!" After they have finished with their conversation, Hayley hugged the bag and hung it in her cupboard while keeping the card and the wrapper in a box.

2 months later, Perce came back. Hayley was happy and the very next day, they went out together. He bought her a shirt and they decided to wear the same one to the mall. All the time, he held her close, even in front of his friends. Hayley felt wanted, and that was where she will always want to be. Before sending her home, they went further down to the beach and parked there. Hayley leaned back against Perce and he held her tight. Suddenly she asked, "Don't go back..please?" He looked down at her, smiled and answered, "You know I have to..I'll be back before you know it" and kissed her head. He then asked, "Are you gonna cry?" Hayley was already half crying when he started. She looked at him and asked him back, "You think?" He chuckled, wiped her tears and kissed her.

Kimmy vs Love Story Part 1

Love Story~ 1

You know how they say love is all about drama and cheesy stuff and what not? It doesn't happen that way in real life, most say. Each individual has his or her own story to tell. There's this story about 2 individuals..opposites, yet similar. Just read on...

There was a girl named Hayley and a guy named Perce. They first met at an extra class, outside of school. They had mutual friends, but didn't know it. Hayley liked looking at Perce, the first day he came in. There was this lil something about him she found attractive, that she kept to herself. Soon, they got to know each other. Hayley wasn't that pretty and she knew it. Her chances with him were slim, but she tried.

During Christmas, she went to a friend's birthday party, which Perce was suppose to be attending too, but unfortunately failed to show up due to a cousin's wedding in another town. She brought along a lil present she bought for him as his birthday and Christmas present. She left it with another friend to pass it on to him, since she wasn't studying in the same school. Hayley told her closest friends about her crush on Perce but most of them discouraged her, because they knew something she didn't. Despite the fact they said no, she tried anyway. It didn't work out.

Months past, and he stayed as one of her now and then close friend. They taught in the same kindergarten and met each other about 5 days a week. They were 'readers' and they had to finish filing in the library. They would throw notes or slide it discreetly across the table to prevent other teachers and the 'dinosaur' headmistress from looking. He'd send her for her second job in the afternoon right after then. Soon after, Hayley was chosen to go for National Service, a military sort of training, and she had to leave for 3 months. On occasional Saturdays when she was allowed to use her cellphone, she would text Perce and he would reply her text messages. At one time, she was sitting behind her dorm room building, smiling to herself, just reading Perce's text message which said.."I miss you". Text messages turned to calls. Soon, 'baby boy' and 'baby girl' were in use.

When she was finally out of National Service, she went back to school. The night before, he texted her.."What time do you finish tomorrow?" and she told him. The very next day after school, she was standing at the bus stop waiting for her bus when she saw a car that looked like Perce's. She looked closer and it was! She walked over and opened the door and asked "What are you doing here?" He answered, "I'm here to pick you up" She smiled and got in. He took her for a ride further down the beach and parked there. They talked for a lil while when suddenly he asked, "Why didn't you sit next to me in the movies?" Hayley didn't wanna tell him why, the fact that she assumed he didn't like her. She had a date, yes, but she didn't know how else to tell him just how much she wanted to sit with him. The argument heated up and she blurted out about a particular girl he liked. It hurt Perce, it hurted Hayley even more, knowing that he wanted that girl and not her.

Perce drove fast, back to Hayley's place but he stopped at the junction. Hayley was already tearing. She stared down for a few minutes, then grabbed her bag and file, and was ready to walk the rest of the way home. Suddenly, Perce's hand reached out for her arm and pulled her back in. He took a pen and scribbled something on his palm which looked like. "I'm stupid and I'm sorry" Hayley took the pen and scribbled back onto his palm.."I love you" He looked at her and smiled. She smiled back and they hugged and kissed.
