Love Story~ 1
You know how they say love is all about drama and cheesy stuff and what not? It doesn't happen that way in real life, most say. Each individual has his or her own story to tell. There's this story about 2 individuals..opposites, yet similar. Just read on...
There was a girl named Hayley and a guy named Perce. They first met at an extra class, outside of school. They had mutual friends, but didn't know it. Hayley liked looking at Perce, the first day he came in. There was this lil something about him she found attractive, that she kept to herself. Soon, they got to know each other. Hayley wasn't that pretty and she knew it. Her chances with him were slim, but she tried.
During Christmas, she went to a friend's birthday party, which Perce was suppose to be attending too, but unfortunately failed to show up due to a cousin's wedding in another town. She brought along a lil present she bought for him as his birthday and Christmas present. She left it with another friend to pass it on to him, since she wasn't studying in the same school. Hayley told her closest friends about her crush on Perce but most of them discouraged her, because they knew something she didn't. Despite the fact they said no, she tried anyway. It didn't work out.
Months past, and he stayed as one of her now and then close friend. They taught in the same kindergarten and met each other about 5 days a week. They were 'readers' and they had to finish filing in the library. They would throw notes or slide it discreetly across the table to prevent other teachers and the 'dinosaur' headmistress from looking. He'd send her for her second job in the afternoon right after then. Soon after, Hayley was chosen to go for National Service, a military sort of training, and she had to leave for 3 months. On occasional Saturdays when she was allowed to use her cellphone, she would text Perce and he would reply her text messages. At one time, she was sitting behind her dorm room building, smiling to herself, just reading Perce's text message which said.."I miss you". Text messages turned to calls. Soon, 'baby boy' and 'baby girl' were in use.
When she was finally out of National Service, she went back to school. The night before, he texted her.."What time do you finish tomorrow?" and she told him. The very next day after school, she was standing at the bus stop waiting for her bus when she saw a car that looked like Perce's. She looked closer and it was! She walked over and opened the door and asked "What are you doing here?" He answered, "I'm here to pick you up" She smiled and got in. He took her for a ride further down the beach and parked there. They talked for a lil while when suddenly he asked, "Why didn't you sit next to me in the movies?" Hayley didn't wanna tell him why, the fact that she assumed he didn't like her. She had a date, yes, but she didn't know how else to tell him just how much she wanted to sit with him. The argument heated up and she blurted out about a particular girl he liked. It hurt Perce, it hurted Hayley even more, knowing that he wanted that girl and not her.
Perce drove fast, back to Hayley's place but he stopped at the junction. Hayley was already tearing. She stared down for a few minutes, then grabbed her bag and file, and was ready to walk the rest of the way home. Suddenly, Perce's hand reached out for her arm and pulled her back in. He took a pen and scribbled something on his palm which looked like. "I'm stupid and I'm sorry" Hayley took the pen and scribbled back onto his palm.."I love you" He looked at her and smiled. She smiled back and they hugged and kissed.
